Multiplication Check Year 4
Times Tables
It is vital that children learn their times tables. There will be a national times table test for children at the end of Year 4. This is called the Multiplication Check.
This is the National Curriculum requirement for times table knowledge;
Y1 - count in multiples of 2, 5 and 10 recall and know all doubles to 10 and corresponding halves.
Y2 - Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers.
Y3 - Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 3, 4 and 8 multiplication tables.

Y4 - Recall and use multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12x12.
Y5 and Y6 - Revision of all times tables and division facts up to 12x12.
