Acorns Pre-School
Acorns is our Pre-School. We are extremely fortunate to have our own Pre-School on site here at Selborne. Our children from 2 years upwards, learn and play in partnership with our Reception and Year 1 children in Hedgehogs Class across 2 classrooms and a large outdoor learning environment.
Ofsted complimented the school by saying, "Pupils thrive at this school. Right from the start of pre-school they are known as individuals by staff."
Their Class Teacher is Mrs Rhianwen Murphy
Their Learning Support Assistants are Mrs Charlotte Brown and Mrs Sarah Browning.

Session Times and Costs
Our sessions at Acorns align with the school day, making for easy drop off and pick up for children aged 2 to 11 years.
Breakfast Club: 8-8.40am (pre-booked spaces only to ensure staffing ratios)
Morning Drop Off: 8.40-8.55am
Morning Session: 8.40am-12pm
Lunch Club: 12pm-1pm
Afternoon Session: 1pm-3.20pm
Pick Up: 3.20pm
Hourly sessional rate: £6
Free Early Years Funding: Your early years funding for 15 hours can be used against morning or afternoon sessions to support your children's learning and developmnt. This funding can not support either Breakfast Club or Lunch Club which are both payable on an hourly rate.

What uniform do the children need?
Our children in Acorns will share some items from our School uniform:
- White polo shirt
- School logoed jumper (please see School uniform page on the website for details)
- Jogging bottoms, elasticated shorts, leggings or a school checked school dress - all items which encourage children to dress and undress easily and indepdently.
- Velcro shoes / trainers with socks for indoor play
- Wellies for the outside.
- Waterproofs for a wet day
- Sun hat and cream for a hot day
- And a change of clothes for (including nappies and wipes where necessary) every day!
- Water bottle
