Otters – Year 3/4

Otters Class is a mixed Year 3 and Year 4 Class

 

Their Class Teacher is Mrs Black

Their Learning Support Assistants are Mrs Hill and Mrs Balaam.

Useful information:

  • PE is on Mondays and Wednesdays - please can children have their PE kit in school every day
  • Homework is set on a Friday and is due in the following Wednesday
  • Spellings are set on a Monday and then tested the following Monday.
  • Please ensure that your child has their reading book and reading record in school every day

This week in maths:

Year 3's have been counting in 50's, adding and subtracting 1 from a 3 digit number and adding and subtracting 10 from a 3 digit number. Keep practising this at home.

 

Year 4's have been adding and subtracting 1, 10, 100 and 1000 from 4 digit numbers, and counting in 6's, 7's and 9's.  Keep practising these at home.

 

This week in literacy:

We have been looking at using conjunctions to extend our sentences and choosing powerful verbs to add interest to our sentences.
